Quickstart
Get up and running quickly with your dedicated server from Glesys.
Create servers
Click on Dedicated servers in the sidebar menu to the left in the control panel.
Click the blue Order button.
Select which server you would like to rent, and click the Order button to the right of that server.
Choose a data center.
Choose an operating system (or choose to install the system yourself by choosing "Install manually over IPMI").
Choose how much usable storage the server should have.
Click Place order.
Wait for the server to become ready. When the server is ready you'll recieve the login details to it.
Connect to servers
To connect to a Linux server by using a terminal on Linux, macOS, or Windows Subsystem for Linux:
Open your terminal and enter the command
ssh [email protected]. Substitute your server IP address after the@. You should have received both the IP address and username by email from Glesys. For a dedicated server, the username is most likelyroot.Press ENTER and answer
yesto the prompt that confirms the connection.If you aren't using SSH keys, enter your password when prompted.
To connect to a Windows server using Remote Desktop on Windows:
Open the Start menu and search for Remote Desktop.
Click on Remote Desktop Connection when it appears in the search results.
In the Computer field, enter the server's IP address.
Click Connect.
When prompted, enter the username and password provided in the email from Glesys.
Click OK.
Cancel servers
To cancel a dedicated server, contact Glesys support at [email protected].
