# Delete an archive

## Delete an archive using the control panel

Navigate to the archive you want to delete. Then, click **Action** and then **Delete**.

In the dialog box that opens, type the name of the archive in the text field to confirm, and then click **Delete**.

## Delete an archive using the API

To delete an archive using the [API](/platform/control-panel/api.md), use the [archive/delete](https://github.com/GleSYS/API-docs/wiki/API-Documentation#archivedelete) endpoint to delete an archive.
